Daniel Lalonde is Chief Executive Officer of Design Holding, a global leader in high-end design with a portfolio of iconic brands including B&B Italia, Flos, Louis Poulsen, Maxalto, Arclinea, Azucena, Fendi Casa, Menu, by Lassen, and Lumens. Appointed in October 2021, Mr. Lalonde set a bold agenda and began implementing strategic moves to further expand the company’s global leadership and footprint,
With a wealth of experience building global premium and luxury brands, Mr. Lalonde began his career at a management consultancy company in Paris. He subsequently joined Nespresso and had a fundamental role in transforming the company from a start-up to a successful global brand, serving first as Chief Executive Officer of North America and then as Global Chief Operating Officer. Next, he spent ten years with LVMH Group, initially as President and Chief Executive Officer of LVMH Watches & Jewellery North America and then became President and Chief Executive Officer of Louis Vuitton North America. In just five years, he turned the brand into the number one luxury brand on the market. Later, Mr. Lalonde served in leadership roles at Möet & Chandon, Dom Perignon, and Ralph Lauren, before joining SMCP as Chief Executive Officer and Director. Under his leadership, SMCP became a leading player in accessible luxury through a global expansion and a strategic multi-channel approach. These investments led the company to surpass a €1B revenue milestone and it being listed successfully on Euronext Paris.
He currently serves as Director on the boards of Design Holding, PUIG SA, and Altagamma. He is also on the advisory board of INSEAD.
Mr. Lalonde holds an M.B.A. from INSEAD and received a bachelor of mathematics degree from University of Waterloo in Ontario.
