French by birth, Italian at heart, Jean-Christophe Babin was born in Paris into a family of lawyers. After receiving his M.B.A. at only 21 years old, Mr. Babin completed his military service in the French Navy fleet and started exploring the world. His career began in the sales and marketing department of Procter & Gamble. At just 39, he was promoted to the youngest member of Henkel’s executive committee and was appointed Senior Vice President at the company’s headquarters in Germany. Later, Mr. Babin joined the LVMH Group to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer of TAG Heuer. After 12 years at the helm, he turned the brand into one of the most dynamic and accomplished Swiss watchmaking houses — awarded eight Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix.
 
In 2013, Mr. Babin became Chief Executive Officer of the Bulgari Group. In eight years, he repositioned Bulgari as the reference brand of contemporary, global jewelry.and also transformed it into a leading player in the world’s most exclusive hospitality industry with the opening of new hotels. Mr. Babin not only led Bulgari in its omnichannel acceleration, but he also sustained the brand in the achievement of ambitious humanitarian goals, such as the donation of $100M through the partnership with Save the Children. In the year of the pandemic, Mr. Babin guided Bulgari's commitment in the fight against COVID-19 by donating sanitizing gel to health centers, creating the Bulgari Virus Free Fund, and supporting COVID-19 research. In the same year, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award by Revolution magazine for his contribution to the Swiss watch industry over the last 20 years.
 
Mr. Babin earned his M.B.A. at the HEC French business school.
